The capital's waste incineration plant "Energia" will receive a new gas purification system
The only waste incineration plant in Ukraine - "Energia" - will receive chemical flue gas cleaning systems.
According to the results of the tender, it is LLC "FZ Solutions" that will provide technical re-equipment. The cost of all works is 845 million hryvnias.
"This is a modern chemical cleaning system using a semi-dry method. It is used in many European countries. It has proven itself as an effective method of cleaning associated gases during waste incineration," notes the director of FZ Solutions, Yuriy Markevich.
After the implementation of the new system, the concentration of pollutants in the air of the capital will decrease as much as possible, notes the founder of the LLC - Artem Zaitsev: "In Ukraine, two of our systems are currently under implementation. This is another facility that will be put into operation and will comply with European emission standards."
The conclusion of the cooperation agreement took place recently, and preparatory work for the installation of the cleaning system is already underway on the territory of the waste incineration plant.
The construction of the flue gas chemical cleaning system will be carried out in the next several stages, explains Yuriy Markevich. "In the first, a cooling column will be built, in which the temperature will be reduced. Then we will install a reactor in which the main chemical reaction to remove harmful substances from the gases takes place. And then there will be a bag filter, which will absorb all harmful substances."
The construction of the treatment systems is planned to be completed by the end of winter 2022. Attracting investments in the technical re-equipment of enterprises will create even greater prospects for the development of Ukrainian industry. When European-quality equipment can be ordered not in Europe, but from Ukrainian manufacturers.
